The
Club
Welcome
to Peterhead
scooter
club "probably the most north
easterly
based club in the Uk" this club was established in 1986 when it was formerly
known as the road runners some of the members from back in the day are still
around today. Peterhead scooter club really came to it’s beginnings in 1996
when a very good friend of ours
Martin
Penny
moved from Ellon to Peterhead. Martin was regularly seen out and about on
his several scooters. I and many others became friends with martin and fell
in love with scooters. Martin was still a member of Aberdeen scooter club at
this time, which is a 35 mile drive by the way and with so many of us riding
scooters Martin took the decision and Peterhead scooter club was born. In
the clubs first 2 years we attended several Scottish rallies with some of
our members travelling to England and Holland respectively, picking up
trophy's for best turned out club, furthest traveled.
Over the years the club has attracted new blood, the new
members have good vision which means the club can only go from strength to
strength.
The club has now established it's footing in the Scottish/UK scene, this has
been achieved by the club travelling to numerous events, rallies, and do's
all over the country. The club has put on many rallies and pride its self on
being "The most Northerly based Rally/Club in the UK" this is our 7th rally
this year with a change of venue. We have seen Scooterists from all over the
country attending. With a couple from London last year (2007) picking up
furthest travelled!! Just goes to show how far the club has come over the
years. We are a rally attending club with young and old members riding
mainly Lambrettas and Vespas, anyone wishing to make contact please refer to
the contacts page to find relevant information.
